OVERDRIVE

OverDrive provides patron access to digital content (audiobooks, eBooks, and streaming video) via smartphones, computers, and portable devices. 

Patrons of member libraries access content through OverDrive's award-winning Libby app, the OverDrive app, and the Ontario Library Service Download Centre site.

Enrollment & Fees

This consortium is still open to public libraries that serve a population of under 100,000, that are not already using OverDrive, and who have an ILS (Integrated Library System). Learn more about enrollment and view our current fee schedule.

Marketing and Training

OverDrive's Resource Center features the latest marketing assets, training tools, collection development assistance, and information about OverDrive’s apps and features

Technical Support & Reports (Marketplace)

  • OverDrive offers detailed, real-time reports through the Marketplace website. If you need help logging in or have questions, please contact us
  • For technical support, use the Help section in OverDrive to see if it answers some of your basic questions.  If not, support requests from library staff should be submitted to OverDrive via Marketplace.

MARC Records

  • MARC records are available for download to OverDrive participants. This requires a separate login for our website- contact us if you need it
  • If you are an Advantage customer, you may purchase MARC records for your own collection. Please contact the Advantage Collection Team (collectionteam AT overdrive.com) for more information

OverDrive Advantage

OverDrive's Advantage program gives members of the shared collection the ability to purchase popular titles with their own funds - exclusively for their library patrons - on our shared collection website.

Local Content

Do you have any locally produced materials that you would like to make available to the consortium? Local Content can be shared as EPUBs, MP3s, and MP4s (streaming video) and is a great way to highlight your local writers, history, and more.

Resources

The Professional Resources in Learn HQ have a Technology guide with a detailed “E-resources” section, with helpful information on selecting, organizing, managing and providing access to to digital resources.

LearnHQ also offers learning opportunities in Collection Management Skills Development.
